*whispers* (let's go)

Have you ever felt like you're living a cliché? Or perhaps just a clichéd life?

Have you ever felt that life is a highway? Or would you describe it as more of a gravel road with ceaseless bumps and jagged macabre craters marring the otherwise smooth surface?

Have you ever loved someone like a love song? And did you only tell them one time (I always thought that repetition would prevail where sincerity might fail)?

Despite my (only-slightly-caustic) remarks heretofore about clichés, they are one of my most often-used literary "devices," especially when it comes to mocking a subject. Or praising it in my own twisted way.

I love to toss in a well-placed clichéd every now and then (a.k.a. as often and as arbitrarily as possible).
That being said, another great cliché is to mumble... "story of my life..." after being rejected/hurt/deceived/disappointed/screwed-over/etc.

Songs are, of course, a great way to connect with like-minded individuals who may be feeling or experiencing things similar to what you (or I) may be feeling or experiencing (this is why they have been around since the dawn of time... (hehe, another cliché (y))).

Okay... channeling my inner disturbed-teenage-soul...

Drowning deep in my sea of loathing
Broken your servant I kneel
(Will you give in to me?)
It seems what's left of my human side
Is slowly changing in me

 Now channeling my 8-year-old self...

I want candy
I want candy
(You know what I want)
I want candy

Texan-self...

Oh, say can you see by the dawn's early light
What so proudly we hailed at the twilight's last gleaming?

A hopeless romantic...

So, fellas! (Yeah!) Fellas! (Yeah!)
Has your girlfriend got the butt? (Hell yeah!)
Tell 'em to shake it! (Shake it!) Shake it! (Shake it!)
Shake that healthy butt!
Baby got back!

And that concludes my amazingly insightful insight shared today. I hope that you learned something valuable about my amazingly concise mind.
