travel: to make a journey, typically of some length or abroad.

One common theme that I find in blogs is travel. People like to talk about all the colourful stamps that they have collected in their passports. They like to show the dazzling horizons that they have captured in the far reaches of the world; the sun's rays might fall at an optimum angle on the waves while, in the distance, seagulls caw at a lumbering, incoming tanker. I find these entries to be intriguing, and they appeal to my traveling spirit. So I figured I'd give it a try.

In my scant 17 years, I have managed to etch a place in my heart for the wonders of traveling - the timeless tradition of discovery, exploration, and enlightenment. I've traveled "out East" to Newfoundland in a caravan composed of sexagenarians, the tales of which I find astounding and unbelievably unfortunate to this day. I have resided in Quebec with my fellow students for our final attempt at forming life-long friendships before being shipped off to high school, where we barely make eye contact. I've been shopping in Pennsylvania when a low-life, slimy crook applied a wire coat-hanger to our door handle and broke into the Avalanche to steal a two-hundred dollar GPS. I was also back home when my parents received the fifteen-hundred dollar bill to repair said door. Not a pretty sight.

But despite these dismal happenings, I have been on some wonderful vacations. "Having a par-tay" at the Wild Horse Saloon in Grade 9 with my zany friends. Touring my would-be future University, Harvard - if we would only win the lottery - for our annual music trip in 2010. Cruising the Caribbean last winter, passing idyllic islands' inlets rimmed by sandy beaches.

The spring of 2012 brings the promise of the most highly-anticipated trip of my high school career: NEW YORK CITY!!! Moving on: the following are pictures from assorted trips in no specific order except by grouping of trip.

Did I forget to mention that I went to Washington last year? good times...

Me and Abe!!! Creepy, eh?
